Skindinävia was founded in 2005 with the sole purpose of creating products that would keep makeup looking fresher. Our revolutionary “Makeup Finishing Spray” was originally used on movie sets in Hollywood, so makeup artists could have fewer touchups through long days of filming. Unlike makeup settings sprays of the 1970’s and 80’s, which were “hairspray for the face” or “shellac”, our mists are virtually weightless and look completely natural.

Known as “The Original Makeup Saver®”, Skindinävia remains the only US based manufacturer of makeup finishes and still supplies Hollywood studios today.

All our products work hard to create perfect 16 hour makeup. We manufacture in the USA under strict FDA Guidelines using allergen free ingredients. We test each spray under the most stressful conditions to be sure it meets our high standards.

Where do our ideas come from?
Our product ideas come from surveying over 1,000 women about how they thought their makeup could look better. We make five different finishes for the unique needs of our customers.

Who uses our makeup finishes?
Our first customers were makeup artists in Los Angeles and New York City who used Skindinävia to keep makeup fresh under high stress conditions on stage and set. In 2010, nearly 1,000,000 women worldwide discovered Skindinävia. We have been featured in top fashion publications such as Allure, Marie Claire, Self, Elle, Ladies Home Journal, Brides, and in Vogue Magazine as a 2009 “Top 10.” Our finishes are used on hit television shows like ABC’s Dancing with the Stars, Project Runway, and were used at the 2010 Oscar Awards in Hollywood.
